My name is Marissa Iannarone and I am currently enrolled in a Master of International Healthcare Management, Economics and Policy (MIHMEP) at Bocconi University, SDA School of Management in Milan, Italy. I have finished all of my course work for the program and now it’s time to put all that I’ve learned into practice during a 6 month internship with the Ivo de Carneri Foundation (an Italian NGO). In July I worked in the Foundation’s office in Milan and on August 4th I will fly to Pemba Island for a 5 month stay to work in collaboration with the Foundation and local partners on a couple projects.
One project will be focused on doing an organizational assessment/analysis of one of the major hospitals on the Island. The second, much larger project, will be working within the ongoing Heath Management Information System project in both a didactic and analytical capacity.
This is my attempt to share my experiences with my friends and family. I hope it works!
